16 Feature Differences between Registered and Unregistered Users
CamCard is a type of business card reader, which has the world’s highest capacity in downloads compared with the similar software.
Capturing photos of a business card by your phone can instantly save the card information into your contacts. And you can also effectively manage the saved business cards by using the features like quick search, group contacts, add notes, set password, import and export contacts.
With a registered CamCard account, you can synchronize contacts across your phone, tablet and computer, both safe and convenient.
CamCard profile can be added your profile photo, voice, video, social media accounts, and helps you to demonstrate yourself and your company better. Besides, the completion of your profile ensures that whatever language your business card used, the card information can be read accurately.
Open your CamCard, and then you can take actions on the Home Screen and Sidebar.
On the Home Screen you can quickly add your business contacts, search and browse your saved cards. Details are as follows:
A. Capture
The button “Capture Card” at the bottom will help you to add your business contacts quickly.

B. Browse
Your cards are displayed in the middle of the Home Screen.

C. Group
The button “All Cards” at the top can help you quickly find the targeted group and manage your groups.

The button at the upper right corner can
help to easily find the contact you are looking for.

E. Exchange Cards
The button “Exchange” at the bottom can help you exchange cards with others.

The button at the upper left corner can
provide you more actions and features.

G. Option Menu
Tap the device’s “Option
Menu” button or button at the upper right
corner of the Home Page to take more actions.
Tap button at the upper left corner
or slide from the left edge to the right on the Card Holder page to open the
sidebar, which mainly contains Card Holder, Inbox, Like, Settings and Sync.
A. Inbox
We will regularly send some notifications to your Inbox. And you can open the inbox in the sidebar to check your messages.

B. Settings
Open the sidebar and tap button. You can use the features
like Check Account Settings, Set Recognition Languages, Use
the System Camera, Set Password, Help and so on.

Tap the device’s “Option Menu”
button or button at the upper right
corner of the Home Page to take more actions, which includes multi-select, sort
and create cards.
A. Select
Tap “Select” button to choose multiple cards for batch processing.
B. Sort
Tap “Sort by Create Date” button to switch the sorting orders.
C. Create Cards
Tap “Create Cards” to add cards by different ways.
03 Profile
You can complete your profile here, like add your profile photo, pictures, texts, videos and connect to your social media accounts. These can help you to demonstrate and promote yourself in diverse ways.
One major advantage for completing your profile is, when your partners get your paper business card and use CamCard to scan it, they can see the multimedia contents you added.
- Sign in your CamCard account to complete your profile
- Tap “Profile” button at the lower right corner on the Home Screen to enter into the creating page and then choose to “Capture My Card” or “Manually Input”. After the card information is recognized or inputted, you can add an image or video, and connect it to the social media like Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn.
- If you choose to input your information manually, the verification via phone is required to ensure the authenticity of your information.
- Tapping the Profile Photo box and taking or choosing a photo can give a good impression.
Two ways to edit your profile:

Enter “My Card” page from the Profile page and tap at the upper right
corner to manually edit your profile info.
- Or tap “Capture My Card” to re-recognize your information
Two ways to share your profile:
- Tap “QR Code” to generate your profile’s QR code and let others to scan the QR code to see your profile
- Tap “Share Business Card” to share your profile with others via Nearby Contacts, SMS, e-mail, Card QR Code, NFC, etc.
Your business card information can be better protected and prevented from unauthorized using by phone test and confirm.
Choose the kind of people who can see your profile and choose the user types which can receive the reminder of your profile updates.
04 Add Business Contacts
Several different ways provides you to quickly add your business contacts.

Tap “Capture Card” button at the bottom to enter the camera screen. Align
camera to the card and tap to finish capturing
the image, and then it will automatically recognized your business card. And
the business card information contained in the QR Two-dimensional
code can also be read.

Tap button to switch to the Batch Mode from the Single Mode. And after capturing, you can
check the recognitions of these card images in the Card Holder.
- Tap to adjust the Flash Mode
- Tap to adjust the Focus Mode
- Tap to read the Tips
- Tap “Option Menu” button on the Card Holder page and then tap “Create Card” Button to select “Load Card Image”, you can choose the existing cards in your photo album for recognition.
- In the other way, you can tap “Share” and then choose “CamCard” in your album to import your selected a photo/photos for recognition.
Copy a signature in your email and then open the CamCard to enter the Card Holder. Tap “Option Menu” Button on the Card Holder page and then tap “Create Card” Button to select “Email Signature”. And then your business contacts can be recognized and be added in your smart phone.
Enter
the Card Holder page and tap button and tap then tap “Create Card” to select “Create
Card Manually”. And then you can manually input
the contact information and add it in your phone.
Enter
the Card Holder page and tap button and then tap “Create Card” to select “Import
Phone Contacts”. And then the selected contacts in
your cellphone’s address book can be added into the business cards.
After the recognition, it will automatically enter into the Edit Card. This page can be divided into three areas: business card image area, the recognition result area and the functional button area.
The business card image is displayed in this area.
- The main results of the recognized card will be displayed at the recognition result area and the inaccurate items can be modified.
- By tapping a recognized item in the recognition result area, the corresponding item will be highlighted in business card image area for comparison and modification.

Tap button to remove
selected items except for the “Name” item.
- Tap “Add Field” button to add a new item if needed.
- Tap “Add other side” button to add the backside image of the business card by taking or selecting a photo
On the Edit Card page:
- Tap “Choose Group” to save the business card to the selected group in the Card Holder.
- Tap “Save to Contacts” to select an account to save your cards, like adds the contact information to the selected group in your Phone Contacts or email account.
- If you are not satisfied with the recognition result and would like to recapture this image, you can tap “Delete Card” button to remove it.

right corner to save the card info to the selected group and contacts
You can add several types of notes to your contacts.
Tap a card in the Card Holder to select Note, and then:
- Tap “Text” button to add a text note
- Tap “Image” button to add an image note
- You can set a reminder when adding text.
- Press and hold on a note to remove it.
08 Organize Business Cards
On the Card Holder page, you can organize your business cards by using the features like group, sort, manage, search, add, etc.
- Tap “All Cards” button at the upper left corner to show the grouped list on the Card Holder page.
- Tap the group name to be entered.
- Tap the “Manage Groups” at the bottom of the grouped list to enter into the group management page. Creating a new group, sorting and deleting the existing groups are available here.
Tap button and then tap “Sort by Create Date” to
choose the sort type

Tap button and tap “Select” to
enter the multi-select mode. Here you can group, send, share, export and delete
multi-selected cards.
- Press and hold the card to enter into the multi-select mode
- The business card information can be exported as Excel file, vCard file, and to phone contacts.
- Searching a certain business card among the contacts in the current group is available on the Card Holder page.
- Tapping button and entering some
keywords (like numbers, alphabet, company name, etc.) in the search box can
make the searched keywords in the card information be highlighted in blue.
- Tapping “Capture Card” button at the bottom of the Card Holder page can add a new card by capturing a card image.
- Tap “Option Menu” button to select “Create Card”, you can choose to add business contacts by tapping “Load Card Image”, “Email Signature”, “Create Card Manually” and “Import Phone Contacts”.
-The new card will be added to the current group.

09 Contact Partners
For your business convenience, we provide you some shortcuts in the Card Holder page to assist you to quickly contact your partners. You can take the shortcuts by tapping a card image in your Card Holder and then:

Tap button to call him/her

Tap button to send an e-mail to
him/her

Tap button to send SMS to him/her

Tap button to add the contact to
a group

Tap button to edit this card
Tapping a card in your Card Holder can check the card image, information, multimedia info and note.
- Tap the image to view the image of business card in full screen.
- Rotating and adding the back images are also available here.
The phone, e-mail, address and other information are displayed on this page.
- Tap the Phone to call him/her

Tap button besides the number to
send SMS to him/her
- Tap E-mail to send an e-mail to him/her
- Tap the Address to display the location and nearby companies in the map apps
- Tap the Company to read the relevant news of the company
- Tap Group at the bottom of the Details to choose a group for the card
More details can be showed if the owner of this card has its CamCard profile.
- Tap “Text” button to add a text note
- Tap “Image” button to add a photo
- Set a reminder to the text
- Press and hold on a note to remove it

Tap button at the upper right corner
to edit the card.
- Tap the device’s
“Option Menu” button or button at the upper right
corner to
get more actions: delete, share card and save to contacts.
- The card information can be shared by send e-mail, SMS and QR Code.
11 Exchange Cards
- Tap “QR Code” to generate your card’s QR Code. After your Card’s QR Code is scanned by others, they can exchange cards with you.
- Tap “Recognize QR Code” to scan a Card’s QR Code and get this card immediately.
Tap “Nearby Contacts” button to find some people who are also pressing on this button nearby and you can exchange cards with them.
- Press
and hold on button to exchange cards with
nearby contacts.
- Tap “Exchange” to send a business card exchange request.
- Tap “Accept” to exchange cards.
- Auto sync when signing in
- Refer to the Auto-Sync in your Account Settings for the details of the network settings of the auto-sync.
We provide you two ways to sync your cards.
One
way is to tap the button at the sidebar
page to sync the card data to cloud.
The other way to sync cards is to tap settings in the sidebar and select your account information. You can find a “Sync Cards” button and the last sync time is also displayed here.
We will regularly send some notifications to your Inbox. And you can open the inbox in the sidebar to check your messages, which includes:
- Card Updates: remind you the updates of the profile
- Exchange Cards: record and remind of the card exchange information
- Notice: remind you some product upgrades and market activities
- Success or failure of the creation of your profile
Tap button at the upper left corner
or slide from the left edge to the right on the Card Holder page to open the
sidebar. Tap
at the sidebar to set some
features in your favor, and the features you can set are as follows:
A. Sign in (Your Account if signed in)
Tap “Sign in” button to create a CamCard account or sign in if you already have one.
After signed in, tap your Account Username to enter the settings of the account, here you can:
- Change the password of your account
- Immediate sync cards and view the last sync time
- Set the network settings for auto-sync
- Check sync history and restore data at www.camcard.com
- Sign out
B. Set Recognition Languages
Tap “Set Recognition Languages” button to choose a language targeted to be recognized to a card
C. Use the System Camera
Tapping “Use the System Camera” to capture card image will disable the Batch Mode by using the system camera app or without a SD Card.
D. Always Show Account Selection
Tap “Always Show Account Selection” to always show the account selection before saving contacts
E. Backup
Tap “Backup” to backup data in the Card Holder to SD Card and the feature is unavailable without a SD Card.
F. Restore
Tap “Restore” to restore data in Card Holder from SD Card and the feature is unavailable without backup data in SD Card.

Tap “Set Password” to access Card Holder

CamCard currently supports multiple platforms include iPhone, Android, iPad, Web, Windows Phone 7, BlackBerry and Bada. And the version for each platform possesses some slight differences to others.
CamCard for mobile phones has a lite version and a full version, and the mainly differences lie in the lite version has restriction on the number of saved recognition cards and will show some ads.
Signing up a CamCard account will enjoy more practical features, while the unregistered ones can also use the lite or full versions.
